Tzu The Green Tea Tzu Thé (pronounced as “Zoo Te”) Green Tea is the result of Dr. S. T. Liao's life long passion, vision and guidance. Dr. S. T. Liao at the University of Chicago, often introduced as “Father of EGCG”, fulfilled 47 years of in-depth cancer research. He discovered that EGCG, a critical component of Green Tea, is the key biochemical and biological element for many health benefits.

Tea comes from the leaves of the plant, Camellia sinensis. There are three main types of tea: green tea, oolong tea, and black tea, categorized according to their oxidation levels (called the fermentation process). Green tea is steamed, baked, or pan heated to prevent oxidation and thus the leaves remain green. Unlike green tea, oolong tea is partially fermented, and black tea is fully fermented.

The secret of green tea lies in the fact it is rich in catechin polyphenols, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). EGCG is a powerful natural anti-oxidant only found in Green Tea. Green tea contains more catechins and vitamins than other fermented tea, such as oolong tea and black tea.

We implement rigorous quality control measures throughout the entire production chain as no other tea producer does. We begin with professionally managing the tea plantation. From the production to the timing of harvest to the drying and the packaging process, all steps are managed by careful scientific measurement in order to obtain the highest quality green tea possible. By carefully monitoring the quality of each production stock, we ensure the content of catechins remains at the highest level possible. Our production is certified under ISO and SOP standards.
